New Home

Started as a shell
Of bricks, cement and smell,
A year and more of wait..
Finally a semblance, hurray!

Amidst angry rants and hatred,
Smoke and sacred chants..
Arose moments of belonging..
They stayed, prayed, like family.

Maybe this house turns home,
Not just of sand and stone.
Maybe theres lots of peace,
Faith and love added to please.

After all the dust clears,
Heres to hoping for more cheers!
For fulfilling memorable moments,
Smiling, inside and out, again.
